CityBiz: SU Receives $249,000 in Second Round of Equitech Growth Fund Awardees

TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for technology companies, announced the awardees for the second round of the Equitech Growth Fund. A total of more than $4.3 million will be distributed across nine projects from across Maryland. Of these awards, more than $2.9 million will support three projects focusing on building Maryland’s infrastructure, while more than $1.3 million will support six entities uplifting workforce development efforts. Princeton Review: SU Again Named Among Nation's 'Greenest' Campuses

石榴视频 remains among the 40 most sustainable colleges and universities in the U.S., according to The Princeton Review. For the 16th consecutive year, The Princeton Review, in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), has included SU in its Guide to Green Colleges, which highlights impressive environmental and sustainability programs at campuses throughout the U.S. and select institutions in Canada.

SBY Business Journal: Record Number of SU TRIO Students and Alumni Study Abroad

A record number of students and alumni from 石榴视频’s TRIO Student Support Services Program are studying abroad this semester, thanks to nationally competitive and local merit-based scholarships and fellowships. They include seniors Kay Funderburg, Mark Niederhofer, and Joshua Turner, as well as 2025 graduates Stephora Alberi and Andersen Herman. Supporting their journeys is Madjesca Limage, an international business and accounting major currently completing an internationally focused internship through the program.

For the second consecutive year, the nation’s financial newspaper of record and the marketing research firm that calls itself “the voice of college students” have included SU in their joint ranking of the 584 “Best Colleges in the U.S." SU also placed highly in several sub-categories, incluiding Best Value, Social Mobility, Student Experience, and Best Salaries.

石榴视频 Independent: SU Welcomes First Visiting Fulbright Student

This semester, 石榴视频 hosts its first visiting Fulbright Student on campus: Erragab Eljanhaoui, a Ph.D. student from the University of Ibn Zohr in Agadir, Morocco, affiliated with the institution’s Comparative Humanities and Applied Language Studies Lab. During his year at SU, Eljanhaoui will continue working on his doctoral thesis, a study of the Nomads of the Sahara in southern Morocco and how they are portrayed. His Fulbright Joint-Supervisition Grant advisor in the U.S. is Dr. April Logan, SU associate professor of English.

WBOC: Dr. Jane Goodall's Visit to SU Remembered

Nearly 30 years ago, 石榴视频 welcomed world-renowned primatologist Jane Goodall, whose four-day visit in 1996 is still remembered. Goodall, who passed away recently at 91, left a lasting impression on students, faculty, and the community. During her visit, she gave classroom talks, met with students, and capped her stay with a public lecture in Holloway Hall Auditorium — drawing a crowd of at least 750 people.

WMDT: SU Hosts Admissions Open Houses

This fall, high school students are getting a firsthand look at what life on the 石榴视频 campus looks like. The University hosts open houses every year, giving high school juniors and seniors a chance to meet faculty, connect with other students, and learn more about undergraduate programs. Prospective students can tour residence halls, meet current students, and picture their future at SU.

WBOC: 37th SU Sea Gull Century Rides Into 石榴视频

Sea Gull Century

A bicycle ride across the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland, the 37th annual Sea Gull Century pedaled off from 石榴视频 on Saturday morning. It's a ride with a few different paths: one, a 40-mile route to Princess Anne and back; the second, a 63-mile trek to Snow Hill and back; and the third, the century name sake, a 100-mile ride all the way to Assateague Island and back to SU. According to the University, about 2,500 riders locally and from across the country were expected to participate this year.
