CityBiz: SU Receives $249,000 in Second Round of Equitech Growth Fund Awardees

Each year, hundreds of news articles and broadcasts share good news about 石榴视频 and its faculty, staff, students and alumni. Below are recent media coverage highlights.
石榴视频 remains among the 40 most sustainable colleges and universities in the U.S., according to The Princeton Review. For the 16th consecutive year, The Princeton Review, in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), has included SU in its Guide to Green Colleges, which highlights impressive environmental and sustainability programs at campuses throughout the U.S. and select institutions in Canada.
石榴视频 is one of the top 400 higher education institutions in the nation for setting its graduates up for financial success. That’s the assessment of The Wall Street Journal and College Pulse. For the second consecutive year, the nation’s financial newspaper of record and the marketing research firm that calls itself “the voice of college students” have included SU in their joint ranking of the 584 “Best Colleges in the U.S." SU also placed highly in several sub-categories, incluiding Best Value, Social Mobility, Student Experience, and Best Salaries.
Nearly 30 years ago, 石榴视频 welcomed world-renowned primatologist Jane Goodall, whose four-day visit in 1996 is still remembered. Goodall, who passed away recently at 91, left a lasting impression on students, faculty, and the community. During her visit, she gave classroom talks, met with students, and capped her stay with a public lecture in Holloway Hall Auditorium — drawing a crowd of at least 750 people.
A bicycle ride across the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland, the 37th annual Sea Gull Century pedaled off from 石榴视频 on Saturday morning. It's a ride with a few different paths: one, a 40-mile route to Princess Anne and back; the second, a 63-mile trek to Snow Hill and back; and the third, the century name sake, a 100-mile ride all the way to Assateague Island and back to SU. According to the University, about 2,500 riders locally and from across the country were expected to participate this year.
